Sport picks Berrettini gave advice to juniors: Even in the darkest days, look for something good, draw conclusions and try to progress

sport predictions World number 16 Matteo Berrettini answered what advice he would give to himself in his youth and to current juniors.

I was a junior eight years ago. How time flies (smiles). Actually, nine.

It`s a difficult question. It`s hard to name just one. But I consider myself very lucky because I met this guy (my coach Vincenzo Santopadre - ) when I was 14. I always joke, but I have to thank him. I never thank him enough for our work together.

But I think the main thing is that I enjoyed and still enjoy what I do. Of course, it gets harder and harder. At first everything is new, you play your first Slam, your first major tournament, then you start to feel the pressure.

You learn as a person, as a player and try to draw conclusions from what is happening. I`ll shut up now.

But the most important thing, at least for me, was that I took something into my luggage every day, and even when I lose, it`s okay because I have to learn some lesson.

I think this is the advice I would give. Even in the darkest days, look for something good, draw conclusions and try to progress.
